About Me
Hi, I’m Simon Dodd thanks for looking at my blog.
I started Internet Marketing in the summer of 2008 when my freelance work dried up and I was struggling to pay my bills. My friend Glen Kirkham introduced me to this field and I could almost instantly see the benifits of having a business in this format.
I started hoovering up as much information as I could from all the diferent gurus and ebooks! I bet you can guess what happened next… INFORMATION OVERLOAD!!!!!
I still have a hard drive full of all the latest ebooks and offers that I have bought or been given over the past couple of years. I have tried some of them but always found myself chasing the next big thing sold to me by the guru’s.
I was destined for faliure really as I was never following things through to completion, I was finding that I would get almost to the end of a system and lose faith and leave the site half done! I now have multiple sites in diferent stages of completion all of which have made me a grand total of $130!!! The worst thing about this is that I have no idea where these sales have come from and I cant get the money yet as I need more initial sales for clickbank to release my funds!!
I went to George Brown’s Internet Millionaires Summit in June 2010 where I learned a lot about social media marketing and I went away from the first day thinking I had all the pieces of the puzzle finally sorted! I ended up in the bar after the first day watching England put on a dismal display in the World Cup and was drinking with Dan Briffa, Dean Holland, Janig G, Alex Shelton and Alex Jeffreys. The Sunday then turned into and afternoon drinking session with Dean, Dan and Alex!!! If you ever get that chance take it!! It was a great afternoon of fun with those guys!
After seeing the success stories that were Dean and Dan I decided I needed to find myself a mentor and it didn’t take long for Dan to send me a link to Alex’s coaching program, I snapped up this offer as quickly as I could. The sales webinar was packed full of great information and I thought the training would be at the same level having met Alex and seen his perspective on life.
So all my other sites are on hold while I complete the training with Alex and hopefully I will be able to action everything I learn with Alex and finally start making those sites profitable.

A Very easy to follow post . Whenever i check your blog i read a original view. Furthermore , as a noob developer, i should mention that the structure of your blog is amazing . Can you post the name of the theme . I find it hard to choose among all these themes and widgets.
Thanks .
Thanks for the kind words!
The theme I use if Arjuna X. I like the layout of it but I need to change the look and feel of the graphics. It is not a majorly important task at the moment though, although it is moving higher up my list of things to do!
It is true there are a lot of choices out there when it comes to setting up your blog. I was thinking of doing a post about what I use on my blog in the way of plugins and widgets.
Thanks for stopping by.
I do not give out my phone number quite that freely as it would be unfair to the people that pay for my time.
However if you would like to contact me then feel free to email support@simondoddmarketing.com and I will see what I can do to help you.
I would like to with thanks for the efforts you have made in writing this blog post. I am hoping the same best work from you in the future as well. I loved your style I will sign up for your feed please keep posting! Yours trully, Clarice.
Hi there! Is it alright that I go a bit off topic? I’m making an attempt to see your article on my ipad but it doesn’t show properly, do you have any suggestions? Cheers. Yours trully, Brigida.
Well I don’t have my iPad yet but my site seems to work ok on my iPhone… I’ll have a look into it for you though, maybe a quick trip down to my apple store will help me out!
Sorry you are having problems, I hope I can get them fixed for you soon.
Aw, this was a genuinely quality blog post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a great post… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done. With regards, Aleisha.
Well all it takes is a bit of time and planning.
If you set clear defined goals with some sort of timescale then you are far more likely to achieve what you set out to do.
Procrastination is a killer, I still suffer with it to this day but thankfully not as much as I used to!
Thanks for stopping by,
Simon

Hi Simon,
Good for you for not giving up AND for finding a great mentor.
You’ll get a lot of support from the forum, and YES, you’re right – Gary Simpson is really helpful.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment
Can I just ask – have you got your Akismet plugin working only I recognise a couple of your comments as Spam?
Take care and best wishes
Jean
Thanks for dropping in Jean,
I have also noticed some spam like comments on here and am looking into my Akismet settings as it is also sometimes putting real messages into the spam folder! How frustrating!
I’m sure I will get it sorted soon though, as long as the Nephews and Niece allow me to do some work over Christmas!
Thanks again
Simon
