How To Setup Share and Follow Plugin for WordPress
Hi,
I have been asked on a few occasions to teach people how to setup their share and follow plugin the same as mine so I have decided to create this quick video to show you how I have mine setup.
I hope this helps some of you out there struggling with this as it can seem like quite a complicated plugin to setup.
Please leave a comment and let me know if this helps. Also let me know if there are any other plugins you are having problems with and I will try to help you with those as well.
Thanks for reading and watching,
Simon

Hi Simon,
Thanks for the suggestion of the plugin “Share and Follow”. That one looks better than mine which is “Follow Me” I will make the change today…
Greetings

Hey John,
I have my facebook button going to my facebook profile page but you could send it to your fan page. You can set this up to be a shorter name e.g. mine is facebook.com/simonsuccess and my fan page is smondoddmarketing I believe! I didn’t have to do anything extra in facebook to get it to work for me. I did have to authorise my facebook like button though so that could have authorised the other icons as well.
Your profile page may only have a URL of facebook.com/profile=?php93849823045 or something like that if I remember correctly. There is an option in your account settings to change this but obviously someone may already have your name as the URL! I couldn’t get simondodd for example so I ended up with simonsuccess, bigdodd and simondoddmarketing!
Please feel free to get in touch with me if you are still having problems and I will try and help you further. I have another site I can use to setup everything from the start, so if it really turns into a problem I can record another little video showing everything from setting up facebook to installing the plugin and getting it all running smoothly.
Hope this helps
Simon
Dear Simon,
Thanks you making the video for us. I followed your instructions and tried it out. The side bar follow is still not showing after I enabled it. Only the bookmarks on top and bottom of the post is working. I’m unsure if it has to do with the theme I’m using, which is flexibility 3.
Another plugin i would like to use is All-In-One-Webmaster. Is it useful ? Looks complicated. Do you use any SEO friendly images plugin ?
Cheers

Hmm very strange!
I am using flexibility 3 as well! Have you tried disabling the bookmarks at the top and bottom of the post and then just having the sidebar? There could be a problem with the software not allowing both to be displayed…
I don’t use any SEO plugins for my images but I have the All In One SEO pack for all my posts. I will look into the all in one webmaster for you though and see if I can create a guide for you all!
Thanks again for stopping by.

Thanks Simon for that very informative video. Always wondered how people got those icons on their site. Knew it had to be a plug-in cause we do love our plug-ins. Now I know for sure and I appreciate you walking us through this.
Enjoyed the post and thanks again.
