Mark Anastasi’s Facebook Marketing Seminar London | Changed My Goals
I’m back on terra firma after Mark Anastasi’s event this weekend in Marble Arch London. What an event! There is always something about Internet Marketing seminars that just gives you a bit more fire under your seat but the best thing about them for me is the opportunity to network. This weekend however was even more of a networking opportunity thanks to the extra 100 people that couldn’t fit in the room! Mark kindly bought them all a drink and I even saw Steven Essa doing some live teaching in the bar! This also meant that if you took a break from the seminar there were plenty of people around to strike up conversations and partnerships with.
I think it may have been partly because the event was about facebook, but it seemed there were a lot more people I knew than at other seminars. It was great to meet up with some online friends and do some catching up as well as creating some new partnerships and learning some new facebook skills.
I was originally only going to support my friend Glen Kirkham as it was his first speaking event and I have to say he nailed it! People sitting around me couldn’t believe it was his first time speaking, he took to it like a duck to water. Once his presentation was over we hit the bar, once all the support questions had died down! Being the first evening it was quite relaxed but still a late one! the next two nights on the other hand were by no means relaxed! However they all involved some great conversations with some truly great people! I would namecheck them all here but the list would be longer than this post is already!
I got so many great tips for all sorts of areas of my business and am already getting contacted about future projects and JV’s. One of the other great things about this weekend is that I have been growing my mailing list all weekend! Even while I was away from my computer I was getting opt ins, so now I have a potential market.
There were a lot of deals made this weekend and I would hate to guess how much some of those partnerships are going to be worth in a few months time, there were some truly groundbreaking ideas (and Drinks….) flowing around all weekend! So my advice to you when attending Internet Marketing seminars is to network, network, network! Find out who is who, you will be surprised at who you will meet at some of these events and if you strike up a friendship then it can easily turn into a Joint Venture partnership!
Thanks to this past weekend I have readjusted my goals for earnings on my business. Today being February 1st I am going to make $6,000 by May 1st in order to pay for my trip to Vegas with the other Forward To Marketing Students and some of my friends. As Alex Jeffreys said to me at some point over the weekend (maybe before the sambuca had kicked in) to make $6K I only need 12 people to buy a $500 product! It’s easy to find 10 people!!! When he put it like that I thought anything was possible and after seeing some of the sales of the weekend it was further reinforced.
Since coming back from the seminar I have been working solidly getting things in place for these upcoming projects. I can’t wait to get them off the ground and running! My planning and working methods have to be spot on from now on as I have a lot of deadlines to meet! I am also still running everything else at the moment but I have started to outsource more and more of the methodical time consuming tasks to effectively build my business.
I have renewed motivation (Not that I needed it) and am constantly growing my business now. I just have to work hard through these next few weeks and months and I will be off to Vegas to celebrate and learn and network some more to grow to the next level!
Hope you enjoyed my recap of the seminar, I wish I could go into more detail about some of it but you will see more in the future!

Hey Simon,
So glad to hear about how productive the seminar was last weekend. I went to one at the beginning of last year and it’s funny how people were walking up to me because they remembered me from Facebook. Had the best time ever, met some awesome people, made some great new contacts and had a blast. That was actually my first one so I understand exactly what you are saying. Network, network, network. It will only lead to better things for you. Whether it’s business or just a new friendly face. You just can’t loose.
Thanks for sharing and maybe you can share in your next post some things that you learned while you were there.
Until then,
Adrienne

Hey Adrienne,
Thanks for your feedback, it was actually at my first IM seminar last year that I finally found my focus again and also met Alex Jeffreys, Dean Holland and Dan Briffa. I then made more connections at the World Internet Summit at the end of last year where I was starting to be recognised. This past weekend was just the icing on the cake really, meeting everyone again and making some new connections!
I have a few really cool facebook methods that I am just trying out now so once I have the results I will definitely be sharing them on here!
I will head over and help you with your 100 comment challenge now as well!
Cheers,
Simon
