World Internet Summit Report, Was it Worth it?
So I finally made it to the World Internet Summit in London! One weekend, 400 attendees and 15 speakers!
Day one started with an introduction from Tom Hua followed by a great mindset changing presentation from Andy Harrington. He reaffirmed some good techniques that I have been using recently including making sure you have a clarity of outcome on what you desire from your business.
Following this we had lunch and a great opportunity to network with the delegates and speakers. This is one tip I would definitely give for attending these events. Network, network, network and network some more, this is the best opportunity to build lasting business relationships and potential JV’s. If you can, try and talk to some of the speakers as well. You never know what tips they will give you!
After lunch we had Brett McFall with his Internet ABC’s, he gave us some great fundamentals of building an online business. After a short break we had the World Internet Challenge with Mark Vernum, This is where a product is created for the weekend and it is launched for the 4 days of the seminar. At the end of the weekend one person attending the event gets the money made from the business and they get the business to run for themselves!!!
The evening for me was spent drinking with a good friend of mine, Simon Little. Andy Shaw and Chris Cobbs joined us for a good Internet marketing chinwag! Such a friendly group of people here, everyone stopping by having a chat and getting to know each other.
Day 2
So in the morning we had a “parade” of all the speakers with a little introduction as to what they do.
The first speaker of the day was Roy Carter of the Eaaasy (that is not a spelling mistake) Cash Projects company. He had some good information on using PLR content and articles to drive traffic and make money. He also offered a MASSIVE discount on his mentoring program, if I wasn’t with Alex Jeffreys right now and I was looking for a mentor I would probably go for him as it seems to be a completely comprehensive solution with a lot of contact with him.
Next up was Chris Cobb talking about The amazing power of CPA networks. I had never bothered even looking into this area of marketing as I had heard it was very hard to get accepted into the networks. However Chris has kindly given us some links to get accepted straight away! I can now see myself having a dabble in this area… His product was a complete CPA coaching program with loads of bonus memberships and offers. Really good value for anyone with the money…
Lunch came and went quickly and I had loads of people taking my business cards so hopefully some potential JV’s will come from that!
Next up we had Steven Essa talking about how to do profitable webinars as well as automating your webinars so you can record them once and keep reaping the rewards day after day!! with an automatic replay every day for your new subscribers! Such an awesome idea!
Then I got my quick interview with Andy Harrington and headed to the networking area (the bar) This was a fantastic time to network again. I missed the final presentation but I was making some really good connections and have already had some offers of JV partners from this weekend.
Day 3
I’ve decided to look at the summit in a different way. I am at the back of the room with Dwayne Kerr watching HOW the speakers are selling as opposed to what they are selling. It’s good to take a fresh view on things like this to try and get as much out of it as possible.
The afternoon was spent catching up with some Internet Marketing friends I had met before or had a lot of online contact with! The hotel bar did very well from us! I don’t think i need to say much more than that!
Sunday was recovery day but there was still some great stuff to get from the seminar and I managed to get some great notes and watch the Formula 1!!
So in summary I think it was a great weekend, maybe a little heavy on the sales pitches but most of the speakers gave out some really good information before starting their pitch. I made some great new contacts and caught up with some old ones too. It has given me another boost to know I am heading in the right direction.
I also learned a very sneaky way to get viewers to my YouTube video that I am not allowed to share publicly at the moment. I’ll let you know as soon as I am allowed to talk about it though!
Hope you enjoyed that post and if you want to see the recording of last years World Internet Summit in Australia then you can buy the videos here

Hello! I have been following your web site for many days currently. Need to state that it is rather uncomplicated to understand. Its added in my bookmarks as well as i’ll ensure that i will follow this frequently. Many thanks for the inputs. In addition, my spouse and i honestly like your theme and how you have organised the contents of the site. Might you inform the particular name of your web template? Thanks
Thanks for following and I’m glad you like it. The theme I use is called flexibility, it is free so easy to get. Make sure you backup your website before changing the theme as sometimes you can loose everything in the changeover.
